Reps. Rashida Tlaib and Ilhan Omar held a news conference Monday afternoon in St. Paul, Minnesota, to discuss their scrapped trip to Israel and the Palestinian territories. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu initially rejected their planned recess visit to the country, citing their support for the boycott, divestment and sanctions movement. Israel later granted Tlaib permission to make a restricted trip on “humanitarian” grounds, but the Michigan Democrat rejected the offer over the terms laid out by the Netanyahu government.
