‘Tear them up,’ the Vermont Democrat says

Senate Judiciary Chairman Lindsey Graham pushed forward a committee vote Thursday on an immigration bill, despite protests from the panel’s Democrats that he was breaking the rules.

“Tear them up, tear them up,” Vermont Democrat Patrick J. Leahy said as he ripped apart a booklet of the committee’s procedures. “That’s what we’re doing.”
