McConnell Says Senate Will Vote on Kavanaugh 'in the Near Future'


Senate Republican leadership criticized Senate Democrats' role in attempting to stall the confirmation process for Judge Brett Kavanaugh to the Supreme Court. Amid a firestorm of protests on Capitol Hill on Monday, Majority Leader Mitch McConnell, R-Ky., opened the Senate confirming that a hearing will take place on Thursday to hear from the judge and Christine Blasey Ford, but that a vote in the chamber would also happen soon.
